About

My name is Dani, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. I work with individuals and families who are ready to embark on a journey to wellness. My office is located in Bellevue, Nebraska, close to Omaha, Papillion, and LaVista as well as Offutt Air Force Base. Highway 370 and Interstate 80 are nearby for easy access.

I truly enjoy working with a variety of individuals and challenges, but I am especially passionate about serving first responders, members of the military and their families, and mothers. I primarily work with adolescents and adults. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, and enjoy working with clients who are interested in exploring holistic, mind-body approaches. I have specific training and experience working with children and families impacted by sexual abuse, work as a therapist with Lutheran Family Services’ RSAFE program. I have also worked with individuals with a variety of presentations, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship issues, grief and loss, domestic violence, separation from family (such as foster placement), and substance use.

I also teach yoga at Well Mama, a motherhood fitness studio that focuses on the physical and emotional health of mothers.

I frequently utilize mindfulness techniques, such as deep breathing exercises and guided meditation. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused. Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and utilize this technique when appropriate. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are also approaches that are employed. I draw on my experiencing teaching and practicing yoga to help me integrate mind-body relaxation and breathing techniques into my work with clients. Therapy is different for every client, and I like to use interactive approaches that fit the client’s needs and learning styles, such as art or sand tray.
